The OpticGard Scope cover for the Vortex® Defender-CCW offers protection against stray bullet casings and scratches. The intelligent cut allows the cover to fit most rear and suppressor sights. It also includes a detachable training lens which will allow you to use the red dot even in the sun or bright areas. Our scope covers are made from a material made from TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) offering protection from abrasion. In addition, the fast and simple installation allows easy access to the buttons without removing the cover. Finally, the interlocking pins secures the cover so it won't fall off even with heavy recoil from handgun slides.

Note: Important Information
- OpticGard Covers may not be compatible with backup sights that are mounted in front of the optic. Sufficient space is needed for the cover to latch onto the front of the optic housing.
- OpticGard will add approximately 0.08 inches (2mm) to the sides of the optic. If using in conjunction with a holster, please make sure there is sufficient spacing between the holster with the cover on.

Installation
I have a Vortex Defender CCW on my Hellcat which is my concealed carry gun. I installed the Optic guard on this red dot site. Installation took literally a couple of seconds. The guard is very light so no extra weight to speak of for your carry piece. It will definitely help keep your site from being nicked and scratched up. Ii have a couple other range guns I plan to buy Optic Guards for. It’s a good product. You should try it.

Great cover for this optic. It stays on very securely. Protection of the optic is very good, within reason. I also bought the glareguard lens cover to have with my optic when holstered and not in use forca bit. I also practiced with it and after getting used to the glareguard, it absoulutely has no affect on my time to aim, or grouping at 35 feet. I have not tried it further out yet. I recommend this cover and the glareguard, especially if your optic does not ship with a cover.
These guards fit really well. I have no doubt that they will protect your sight from getting dinged up. If you’re rough on equipment, I definitely recommend these.
